Ploum will change its name to Ploum as from February 1, 2018. “The name change is part of a new course aimed at growth, rejuvenation and innovation,” says Rutger Ploum, co-founder and managing partner of the firm.
The name change to simply Ploum is a logical step; in practice many most people already refer to the firm as Ploum.
Ploum is committed to growth and rejuvenation. As of January 1, 2018, the partner group of Ploum was boosted with four partner promotions: Anton van den Heuvel (real estate), Stephan Sluiter (administrative law), Vincent Terlouw (insolvency) and Jeroen Terstegge (corporate / M & A). With the promotions, the firm creates a solid foundation for the future: “We see it as a valuable boost to our existing team of partners and with the promotions, we also look at the long-term vision of Ploum. We are going to innovate; that is also easier with a young generation. “Expansion of the partner group resulting from lateral hires is also coming. Simon Tan will join Ploum as a partner in the employment group as from April 1, making the move from the Dutch arm of Eversheds.
“Our slogan ‘Significantly different’ still applies and we want to continue to live up to that. Then you must continue to develop, “says Rutger Ploum. “From client reviews, we know that that our clients really experience it that way and that is different from what they are used to from other legal service providers. Our people clearly work differently. They are close to the client, are involved and think along with their clients as entrepreneurs. They dare to challenge and are not afraid to take a stand. We also stimulate that and that is what characterizes our service. “Ploum will build on its motto ‘significantly different’ in the near future.”
