Deborah NizamoeddinAttorney at law
Deborah Nizamoeddin (1980) is a member of the corporate practice group. She is also a member of the Energy Team of Ploum.
Deborah specializes in M&A transactions and energy law. She has a wide experience in advising Dutch and global companies on international and domestic M&A transactions (in particular energy related projects such as offshore energy projects), restructurings and general corporate law matters, as well as advising on energy law matters and in drafting and negotiating commercial energy contracts.
Deborah graduated from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2003. She has an LL.M. in Civil Law and an LL.M. in Criminal Law. After graduating, Deborah worked as a criminal law court officer at the District Court of Rotterdam (location Dordrecht) and as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Justice. From 2008 to 2015 she worked as an attorney for a leading Dutch law firm in Rotterdam.
Deborah is a member of the Dutch Energy Law Association (NeVER) and publishes on a regular basis.
The Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister)
Deborah Nizamoeddin has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
- Corporate law (ondernemingsrecht), sub legal practice area mergers and acquisitions (fusies en overnames).
Based on this registration, Deborah Nizamoeddin is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
